Music Programs
At Ark & Dove Presbyterian Church, our music is a rich tapestry of blended services. Whether the service is led by our talented choir or dynamic band, you’ll experience the fusion of classic and contemporary elements in every service, with inclusive language at the forefront of all that we do. Singers, instrumentalists, and music lovers all can find a musical home here. Information on some of Ark & Dove’s ensembles can be found below. In addition to these ongoing ensembles, Sunday worship also features many ad hoc groupings of vocalists, instrumentalists, and guest musicians. The same music is offered at both the 9:00 and 10:30 services each Sunday.
For more information, contact our music directors! Dr. Rebecca Echols directs the adult music program, and Rae’tta Bond directs the children’s music program.

Adult Choir
The Ark & Dove Choir is comprised of dedicated musicians from many walks of life. Driven by a shared passion for music in worship, the ensemble sings repertoire spanning from traditional to contemporary genres, accompanied by a variety of instruments and always with a commitment to inclusivity. By incorporating diverse perspectives in repertoire and language, our choir aims to create an environment where every voice, regardless of their identity, feels valued and welcomed in creating beautiful music together; where diversity is not only heard, but is celebrated. The choir recently performed the world premiere of “These Ancient Words” by Heather Sorenson at Carnegie Hall, and they sing one large cantata each year. The Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings in the sanctuary from 7:00-8:30 from September to June. If you feel called to join this wonderfully talented group, please contact Rebecca for more information.
Contemporary band
The Ark & Dove Band is a dynamic and diverse ensemble bringing voices joined by a vibrant mix of acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drum set, auxiliary percussion, and piano to our worship services. This talented group of musicians is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere through music and lyrics. With a repertoire that features inclusive language, the Band strives to reflect the diversity and unity of our community in a contemporary setting. Whether it’s a contemporary piece or a traditional hymn with a modern twist, the Band brings their unique energy to every service that they lead. The Ark and Dove Band rehearses on Tuesday evenings in the sanctuary from 7:00-9:00pm from September to June. If you feel a calling to be part of such a dynamic and spiritually-led group, please contact our Music Director, Rebecca Echols.

Children's Music Programs
We are excited to have our Children’s Choir at Ark and Dove, led by Director of Music of Children and Youth, Rae’tta Bond. The choir consists of young singers ranging in age from 5-10. This group is full of energetic singers, who prepare music to share in worship. They sing regularly during worship services with a variety of music – from African works in the Zulu language to Christmas music. This year’s theme for Children’s Choir is “Around the World” and we are exploring music and movement from various countries around the world including Ghana, South Africa, Canada, Ireland, and Argentina. The children’s choir also forms the core group preparing for the Children’s Spring Musical on May. For information on registering your child for either group, please contact Rae’tta.
