Worship Services

Welcome!

God is big at Ark & Dove!  Inspiring services connect us with the timeless Word of God, celebrating the love of God through worship. We welcome all God’s children as siblings in Christ by being open-hearted and open-minded.

All are invited!

  • Worship In-Person at 9:00 am & 10:30 am!
  • Livestream Worship at 10:30 am!
  • Godly Play Sunday school during the 10:30 am service
  • Childcare at both 9:00 am & 10:30 am services

Thank you for worshiping with us! It is our hope and prayer that you will sense our welcome and God’s presence. Especially if you are a first time visitor, we want to do everything we can to help you feel comfortable. Below are a few questions that will hopefully ease your mind and relieve that “new church” stress that so many of us feel when we are exploring a new place – especially a place of worship!

Ark & Dove Presbyterian Church

Worship Services

Our Worship Services are about an hour in length (a little longer when Communion is served or there is a special service). At each service, our congregation participates in prayers and singing. The services are led by our Pastors and include prayers, music and singing, Children’s message, scripture readings, announcements, welcoming, the sermon, and offering. Our music is a blend of choir and band, traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs. When service ends, parents may pick up their children (from Nursery or Sunday School classrooms) and are encouraged to stay for Fellowship and light refreshments in the lobby.

Our 9:00 am service is in-person only. Nursery care is provided.

Our 10:30 am service is in-person or virtual via livestream from YouTube or Facebook Live. Nursery care, Sunday School, and Godly Play offerings are available for infants through Middle School aged children. Children may go to Sunday School or Godly Play after the Children’s message.

Paper bulletins are available during in-person worship and via the Ark and Dove website or Weekly Arkive Newsletter email for those attending via livestream.

Accessibility

Handicap parking is available. No steps are needed to access the building and, if needed, a lift is available to access the raised platform in the sanctuary. At this time, we do not have automatic doors.

ASL interpretation is available during the 10:30am service most Sundays. Please plan to sit in the front row on the left-side. Closed captioning is always available on YouTube and Facebook. For more information about ASL availability, please contact our ASL team.

What to Wear

Come as you are! Some people continue to dress up for Sunday worship and others dress more casually. Please don’t worry about your attire. Dress in whatever makes you comfortable!

Children

All children are welcome to attend Worship Services. We have clipboards with coloring pages and colored pencils available to the left of the Sanctuary doors to use during services. We also have Nursery care, Sunday School, and Godly Play available.

Infants and Toddlers

Nursery care is available at both our 9:00 am and 10:30 am services for ages 0-3 years. Our Nursery Coordinator is CPR and First Aid Certified, has taken Advanced Childcare courses through the American Red Cross, and is accompanied by an adult helper every Sunday. Parents are welcome to visit the Nursery for feeding, changing, and comforting their child during services.

Children Aged 3 Years Old through 5th Grade

We offer a variety of classes for children in the months of September through June. During the 10:30 am Worship Service we have Sunday School for ages 3-5 (pre-school), and Godly Play classes for ages 5-11 (Kindergarten through 5th Grade.) Towards the beginning of service, a worship leader will give a Children’s Message. At the end of the message, the children may remain with you for Worship Service or go to Sunday School/Godly Play classrooms. During the summer months, our activities will vary, so please see our Summer Sunday School page.

Middle School and High School Youth

Middle School Sunday School is available during 10:30 am Worship Service for youth going into 6th through 8th grade. High School Sunday School is not available at this time.

Child Safety Policy

We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for people of all ages. With this in mind, we follow our Child Protection Policy to ensure the well-being of everyone who participates in our children and youth programming. Training is provided and background checks are completed on all adults who work with children and youth, whether they are volunteer church members or paid staff. There will be at least two adults with your children at all times.
